This is a meeting place for all Tayses to gather and discuss, share and compare, and swap and share. I hope to hear from any Tays, any Weaver, Richardson or Wood family members.
My family line comes out of Tennessee, Overton/Fentress County area and coming in through North Carolina and the Virginia's many generations ago. Some of them, however, were native of this area and have a multitude of stories to tell. I have collected many of them through stories shared by the elders and documents and pictures passed on, common family knowledge, research, and help from virtual and quite distant relatives.
I have included a page for each branch that completes my father's side of the tree and hope to add to it and offer anyone else help in finding their roots. This can be a journey, but a worthwhile one, if you really want to know who you are. I do. I think it's fascinating . . .
